If you are unable to register online, onsite registration will be available during the symposium from January 15 to January 18.

Registration Fees

*1 ECS: Early Career Scientists up to five years after the completion of Ph.D. including Ph.D. students and Graduate students.

If you register as ECS or Student, please show your official credentials at the reception desk.

*2 One day: Name card with attending date will be issued at the reception desk.

Travel Grants for Early Career Scientists（Closed on Oct.10, 2017)

The ISAR-5 SOC will provide grants for early career scientists in participate to ISAR-5. The ISAR-5 SOC will be responsible for the selection in case there are many applications. Abstracts submitted to ISAR-5 by the applicants will be considered for the selection.

The successful applicants will receive the grant which covers transportation fee,
accommodation and daily allowance calculated by NIPR's travel fund rule.
The total amount of the grant won't be larger than JPY250,000 for the applicant from abroad, and JPY80,000 for from inside Japan.
Applicants must complete the registration on the website before applying the grant and must apply before October 10, 2017.
If offered a travel grant, he/she must purchase tickets for his/her transportation and provide receipt.
Applicant must pay his/her own registration fee.We will announce the result by November 1, 2017.

Visa Information

Attendees should check if they require a visa to enter Japan on the website of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Attendees who require visa support documents issued by the organizer please fill in the Personal Information Form and email it with a scanned copy of your passport to isar5-visa@nipr.ac.jp

・Visa support documents will be issued only to attendees who have paid their registration fee in full.

・If you require a Japanese visa, please allow at least 5-6 weeks for the internal procedure. The deadline for submitting the Personal Information Form is November 30, 2017.

Accommodation (operated by Kinki Nippon Tourist)

A block of rooms at neighboring hotels has been secured for the symposium attendees. Accommodation can be booked via Online Registration.

Rooms are limited and are on a first-come first-serve basis.

Rates are only available for January 14-18 (check-out), 2018. Accommodation on other than these dates can be requested but cannot necessarily be guaranteed at the same rate.

All payments must be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) by credit card through Online Registration or by bank transfer. Neither checks nor cash are accepted. Registration fee payments must be received prior to the deadline date in order to remain at the current registration rate.

If you are: Undergraduate student, not attending the Banquet and need no accommodation, please choose "Bank transfer."

Credit Card: We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express and JCB.
In case of the payment by credit card, it will not be charged to your credit card account before December 2017 far later than the accept/reject notice of the submitted abstract. We will charge to your credit card in the end of December and later.

Change / Cancellation / Refund Policy

Your reservation cannot be changed online after December 15 (Fri). Please re-login the Registration Online with your ID and Password to make any change or cancellation. After this date, any change or cancellation must be made in writing to the Registration Desk(isar5@or.knt.co.jp).
The date and time of the change and cancellation will be based on the working hours (Monday through Friday 10am - 5pm [Japan time] except the national holidays (July 17, August 11, September 18, October 9, November 3, 23 / 2017, January 1-3, 8 / 2018).
After working hours, cancellation will be made next working day, which may incur charges.
