7th iLEAPS Open Science Conference 2027 (iLEAPS7)

"Bridging Land Ecosystems and Climate: Advancing Solutions for a Sustainable Future"

We are pleased to announce that the 7th Open Science Conference on iLEAPS (iLEAPS-7) will be held from March 1 to 5 (Pre-event program: February 27-28), 2027, in Hiroshima City, Japan. The symposium will be held as an in-person event. Further details will be announced on this page as they become available.

Please note that you are fully responsible for your own visa application required for entering Japan. To verify whether your nationality requires a visa, please consult the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) website:

How to Request Visa Support:
If a visa is required, you must apply at the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan in your country of residence. Please contact the Conference Secretariat via email as soon as possible. After initial review, we will provide you with instructions on how to pay the Visa Support Fee (14,300 JPY).

Upon confirmation of payment, the Secretariat will issue and dispatch the required visa support documentation pack.

Note on Standard Invitation Letters: If you only require a standard "Official Invitation Letter" to confirm your registration (and do not need the full official visa documentation set), we can issue it free of charge. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for details.
