• Plan-A, Plan-B are travel contracts. Plan C is a conference registration and not a travel contract.
• Plan-A, Plan-B includes accommodation. Plan-A is a 6 night 7 day plan. Plan-B is a 5 night 6 day plan. Accommodation is not included in Plan-C.
  Please prepare accommodation on your own for Plan C.
• Full payment is required even if there is a day you do not need to stay overnight during the period for Plan-A and Plan-B.
• There will be no refunds even if you leave during the tour for Plan-A and Plan-B.
• Only 1 person can apply at one time.
• All hotel rooms will be single occupancy regardless of room type. (Participation of family members, accompanying person are not allowed.)
  Room types: Western-style room (twin room or double room), Japanese-style room, or Japanese-Western-style room
• Non-smoking rooms will be arranged.
• Duplicate applications will be invalid.
• Students are required to upload your student ID through the application system. Please upload the page which shows the expiry date. Student ID which is expired are not accepted. If you do not have a student ID with an expiry date written, please upload your certificate of enrollment. If you do not have an English ID please send an English translation to iscc2024_secretariat@ech.co.jp
• Custodial Parent is requested to submit the agreement regarding participants over 15 years old to under 18 years old and is not accompanied by their parents who is applying to attend the 7th ISCC Plan A and Plan B.

  * Those who are under 15 years old need to be accompanied by a parent.

Participant selection rules and notification

* The maximum number of participants is 45 people. In case of overbooking, the criteria of participants will be as follows:
・Group 1: Tour organizers and IUSS (past) officers related to WRB and Soil Taxonomy.
・Group 2: PhD and Master students: 9 places (20% of the total).
・Group 3: People who made a significant and major contribution to soil classification.
・Group 4: Active members of the academic staff of a university or of a governmental scientific organization.
・Group 5: All others, including retired scientists.
The first decision of the participants will be made by the excursion leaders and the Chair of Commission 1.4 (Soil Classification), and will be informed to the applicants by January 31（Wed）, 2024.

* Only those selected will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to pay the registration fee around January 31（Wed）to your registered e-mail address. Please complete the payment by the payment deadline (March 31 (Sun)) if you receive that e-mail.
* For Plan-C , please complete the payment by April 26 (Fri.).
* Registration is not completed before the payment is processed. Only after the payment is completed, your contract for participation for 7th ISCC is concluded. Please note that if the payment is not confirmed until the payment deadline, your registration will be cancelled.
* If you are selected, the personal information you entered will be used for 7th ISCC registration.
* In the case of change or cancellation after the payment please contact 7th ISCC Registration Desk by e-mail (iscc2024_secretariat@ech.co.jp) Cancellations cannot be accepted over the phone. Please refrain from sending e-mails from your cell phone.
* The date and time of the change and cancellation will be based on the working hours (Mon – Fri 10:00-17:00 [JST = UTC+9] except national holidays). After working hours, cancellation will be made on the next working day, which may incur charges.
* If there is a vacancy due to cancellation, the participant to 7th ISCC will be re-selected from those who were not selected through first selection.
* Final information will be sent to the registered e-mail address before the 7th ISCC.

* Any correspondence received after business hours (10:00 am to 17:00 pm Japan Time) will be processed on the next business day.
* The difference caused by changes or cancellations will be refunded in accordance with the cancellation policy.
* The cancellation of a hotel only for Plan-A and Plan-B is not available.

Payment Method

* Payment must be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) by credit card only.
* Registrations and/or reservations will be completed only with full payment (if any).
* Checks and cash are not accepted.

* Please use a credit card that is valid at least until August 2024.
* Drawer of this online payment transaction will be “KNT_WEB_CREDIT”. However, the exact name of the drawer might slightly vary depending on the card company.
