Visa

Japan has taken measures on the visa exemption arrangements for 70 countries/regions.
A short-stay visa (up to 90 days) is required for NPCs from outside these 70 countries/regions.

If a visa is required to enter Japan, we will provide a set of visa support documents.
For NPCs required to apply for a visa, please also submit the 2nd form(Travel Application Form) along with each person’s passport photocopy to travel@kobe2024.jp.
And it is strongly recommended that the Entry System (by Name) registration is completed between the dates of 18th March and 29th March.

LOC will only provide visa support documents once the accommodation fee has been paid, however, for those who require a visa before making these arrangements, please contact LOC (travel@kobe2024.jp) and if the two parties come to an agreement we may be able to issue one.

Visa support documents issued by LOC do not guarantee admission to Japan. The final decision will be made by the Government of Japan.
LOC is not responsible for any delays or refusals of visa applications.

An application for visa is made by the applicant him/herself at the Japanese Embassy / Consulate General with jurisdiction over the area in which the applicant lives or those with jurisdiction over the country of which the applicant’s passport is issued.
In some cases the application may be made by an accredited travel agent that has been approved by the Japanese Embassy / Consulate General.

It is the responsibility of NPCs to take the time necessary to obtain a visa and to prepare the necessary documents.

Fees must be paid for the issuance of visas. (In general, cash payment in local currency is required.)
